Description: This layer shows the location of unconventional wells in Pennsylvania showing gas, oil, or condensate production between July 1, 2010 and December 31, 2012. To access the data from these wells, zoom in past 1:750,000 and click on one of the map icons.
Description: This layer was constructed from five consecutive unconventional production reports that are published by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PADEP), based on data self-reported from the industry. These reports each cover six months’ worth of production data, and the total date range included on this dataset is from July 1, 2010 through December 31, 2012. Included are the amount of gas, oil, and condensate produced in each cycle, the number of days of reported production for each type, and aggregates over the five cycle period. Also included are average daily production values of gas, oil, and condensate, based on the total production divided by the total number of days producing the given product.

Description: This layer contains aggregations of Pennsylvania unconventional production data by county for the period between July 1, 2010 and December 31, 2012. Included are average daily production of gas, oil, and condensate for wells in each county that produce that type of commodity (non-producing wells are not included in the average). Also included are aggregate production values over the 30 month period.
