Description: This data set is a Public Land Survey System (PLSS) showing Township, Range, and Section for the state of California. The Bureau of Land Management has provided this data; however, areas not surveyed by BLM have been projected by The Division of Oil, Gas and Geothermal Resources (DOGGR) and The Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR).
The Public Land Survey System (PLSS) is the surveying method used historically over the largest fraction of the United States to survey and spatially identify land parcels before designation of eventual ownership, particularly for rural, wild or undeveloped land. It is important for you to determine the minimal PLSS description your land is located in for you to continue a successful search of your Mineral Estate.
