Description: The dataset was created by combining select attributes of the 2002-2009 and the 2009-2015 Pipeline Spill dataset for the state of California. The goal of the PHMSA is to protect health and the environment from the risks of hazardous materials transportation. This dataset includes the types of materials involved in the accident, the volume spilled, and the type of contamination that resulted. A National Response Center identification number is included for each accident.
