Description: To facilitate the display of Statistics Canada's boundary layer, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada has generalized the geometry from the original layers. Using the Douglas-Peucker simplification algorithm extraneous points were removed using a 1 km tolerance. The result retains the overall shape but does alter the area from the original polygon. NOTE: These layers are intended for AAFC mapping applications. As such, this service could be changed or removed without notice.
