Description: The Climate Change layer was developed for use within the Maryland Growth and Conservation Interactive Map. It was developed using a combination the WEAT_HurricaneStormSurge_USACE (Hurricane Storm Surge, 2016), the Department of Natural Resources 0 – 2 foot Sea Level Rise Vulnerability (SLR 0 – 2 ft, 2007), and the Department of Natural Resources 2 – 5 foot Sea Level Rise Vulnerability (SLR 2 – 5 ft, 2007). The sea level rise vulnerability layers were resampled to 10 meters and converted to polygons. Inputs were combined by the Maryland Department of Planning Geospatial Data and Analysis Unit to produce this layer. This layer was most recently updated in February 2026. This layer will be updated annually within the first quarter of the year.
