Description: Since 1995, the Maryland Department of Natural Resources has conducted pathogen testing for targeted drainages and targeted species within Maryland. Testing has principally been done for sportfishes of interest, including trout species and Largemouth Bass. The years and locations tested have been somewhat erratic over the past 20 years; but, this testing has demonstrated the presence of pathogens that can impact survivorship of adult sportfishes in a few drainages. Testing for these pathogens is on-going and this datalayer will be updated annually, or as needed.
