Description: "Significant Ecological area (SEA)" means an area that is determined to possess an example of biotic resources that cumulatively represent biological diversity, for the purposes of protecting biotic diversity, as part of the Los Angeles County general plan or the city's general plan. UPDATED: 12/27/12 for the updated Santa Clarita Valley Area Plan going into effect. UPDATED: 9/5/13 to take out insignificant parcel portions (slivers and portions of parcels less than 100 sq. feet) as decided on at a Project Review meeting on 8/5/13 - Management and County Counsel present. SEA numbers in newly adopted Santa Clarita Valley Area Plan also taken out.
