Description: An area (or the external boundary of an area) describing the sound levels attributed to a noise source.Large Arms CDNL: These Noise Zones were developed using the BNOISE2 noise model and depict the average Day/Night Noise Level (DNL) in C-weighting for demolition & large caliber weapons operations at Camp Williams. Large caliber and demolition range expenditures were extracted from CY15 (1/1/14-12/31/15) RFMSS reports. RFMSS provided by Camp Williams Range Control Office. CDNL Noise Zones are computed by averaging the acoustical energy from all operations over an assessment period. The assessment period for the CDNL Noise Zones is 104 days (Standard for National Guard and Reserve training Centers/ranges per AR 200-1).Large Arms PK15: These contours were developed using the BNOISE2 computer model and depict the single event Peak noise levels for demolition & large caliber weapons operations under unfavorable weather conditions [PK15(met)] at Camp Williams. Large caliber and demolition range expenditures extracted from CY15 (1/1/14-12/31/15) RFMSS report. RFMSS provided by Camp Williams Range Control. Peak contours represent the loudest weapon at each individual range and/or Firing Point.Large Arms PK15 (All AFPs): These contours were developed using the BNOISE2 computer model and depict the single event Peak noise levels for demolition & large caliber weapons operations, including the addition of all current/futrure Artillery Firing Points (AFP) under unfavorable weather conditions [PK15(met)] at Camp Williams. Large caliber and demolition range expenditures extracted from CY15 (1/1/14-12/31/15) RFMSS report. RFMSS provided by Camp Williams Range Control. Peak contours represent the loudest weapon at each individual range and/or Firing Point. Each AFP represents a 155mm HE round. Large Arms PK50: These contours were developed using the BNOISE2 computer model and depict the single event Peak noise levels for demolition & large caliber weapons operations under neutral weather conditions [PK50(met)] at Camp Williams. Large caliber and demolition range expenditures extracted from CY15 (1/1/14-12/31/15) RFMSS report. RFMSS provided by Camp Williams Range Control. Peak contours represent the loudest weapon at each individual range and/or Firing Point.Small Arms North: These Noise Zones were developed using the SARNAM noise model and depict the Peak noise level (dBP) for live-fire small arms weapons operations at the POST and Biathlon ranges in the northeast portion of Camp Williams. Small arms range utilization was extracted from CY15 (1/1/14-12/31/15) RFMSS data. RFMSS provided by the Camp Williams Range Control Office.Small Arms South: These Noise Zones were developed using the SARNAM noise model and depict the Peak noise level (dBP) for live-fire small arms weapons operations at main range complex in the south portion of Camp Williams. Small arms range utilization was extracted from CY15 (1/1/14-12/31/15) RFMSS data. RFMSS provided by the Camp Williams Range Control Office.
