Description: The Paonia dataset contains all of the files to needed complete the geologic map. See accompanying map for full information. The Geology feature dataset contains GeoUnit, GeoUnitAnno, Contacts- These three feature classes contain the geology polygons, contacts, and geologic unit labels. The Linear_Features feature dataclass contains faults, linear _beds, Lineofsection, plungearrow, and scarps feature classes and are symbolized by their feature types. The Point_Features feature dataset contains bedding, beddingAnno, PointFeaturesAnno and PointFeatures feature classes. The bearing symbols for bedding are rotated according to the strike field. Beddinganno contains the dip values for the bedding. Mask- The mask feature class contains a masking polygon used to mask unnecessary collar information on the topographic map.Boundary- The boundary feature class contains the boundary extent of the area.Water- the water feature class contains the water features of the Hotchkiss quadrangle. O38107g5 is the USGS 7.5 minute topographic map underlay. Paonia_hs is the hillshaded DEM. All datasets include an ESRI ArcGIS 10.0 layer (.lyr) file that will apply the same symbology used to create the map. All labeling is stored as ESRI ArcGIS 10.0 annotation features in the geodatabase.
