Description: DCRM's Areas of Particular Concern (APC) dataset consists of a set of polygons, representing the boundaries of DCRM's regulatory and permitting influence. The APCs are used as a guideline by resource managers and CNMI officials for decision making purposes related to permitting and development. The APC include: Shoreline, FEMA Coastal Hazards/Flood, Wetlands, Lagoon and Reef, and Port/Industrial Areas. This dataset was developed using a variety of input data sources, including shorelines based on 2002 IKONOS satellite imagery and NOAA reef delineations. The data was first developed in 2005, and boundaries have not been adjusted since that time. This dataset will be superceded when DCRM's regulations are updated to reflect enhanced criteria for designation of APC boundaries (e.g. updated wetland delineations, hazards zones, shorelines, etc...).More information concerning the APCs can be found on DCRM's website - www.crm.gov.mp
