A geographic representation of the Metropolitan Planning Area boundaries. Federal Regulations governing Metropolitan Planning Area Boundaries are found in 23 CFR 450.312. Whereas the UA boundary typically defines the area of potential growth of the community over 10 years, the MPA boundary typically extends beyond that to encompass the area of expected urbanization of the metropolitan planning area 20 years into the future.
