Description: Southeast Texas Addressing and Referencing Map (STAR*Map) road coverage includes centerlines and their attributes for Harris, Fort Bend, Brazoria, Galveston, Chambers, Liberty, Montgomery, Waller, Austin, Colorado, Matagroda, Wharton and Walker County. It was created from 1990 TIGER centerlines and updated with 2014 H-GAC Orthophoto, 2 million parcel addresses from the utility company and counties. This road coverage is updated by members of the Geographic Data Committee. New roads are added, nonexistant roads deleted, street names and block ranges changed as a way to keep STAR*Map the most accurate map of the Houston area.
ACCESS CONSTRAINTS: Purchase STAR*Map or be up-to-date on maintenance dues for GDC members; ability to read or convert an ESRI shapefile format.
