Description: A measure of wildlife-vehicle collision potential based primarily on five-year subsets (2019-2023) of large-bodied wildlife carcass removals and wildlife-vehicle collision reports. This is one of two primary categories of WSDOT's Habitat Connectivity Investment Priorities (HCIP), as well as a primary product of the Washington Habitat Connectivity Action Plan (WAHCAP 2025). Collectively, HCIP and WAHCAP products can be used by WSDOT and partners to focus efforts to maintain or improve wildlife connectivity and reduce wildlife-vehicle collisions along the state highway system. Please direct questions about this dataset to Glen Kalisz, WSDOT Habitat Connectivity Biologist, Glen.Kalisz@wsdot.wa.gov
