This layer is part of the planimetric base map. The planimetric base map is updated every two years to reflect new construction and any other changes to the built, hydrologic, and vegetative environment that have occurred during that time.  The data was most recently collected during the winter of 2019.

The current collection scale is 1” = 50’ in the urban area and 1’ = 100’ in the rural area and meets the National Map Accuracy Standard for such scale mapping.  Some features collected in early projects may be a different scale. Scale is attributed on the feature. 

The data is collected from aerial photography obtained in the following environmental conditions; the sky is clear of clouds, haze, smoke, dust, or any other aerial particles that may degrade the image; ground features are free of snow and ice; all unmanaged water bodies (lakes and streams) are not at flood levels – photo acquisition does not take place within 2 days after a rainfall of 0.5 inches or greater or within 5 days after a rainfall of 2 inches or greater; all deciduous trees are in a leaf off state to ensure minimum ground obstruction from the existing tree canopy; the sun angle is not less than 35 degrees.
