These polygons were not intended to quantify or represent the marsh area impacted from ditches. Note areas identified may be on public or private land.

Description: This dataset represents disturbed tidal marsh wetlands of the SJRWMD Northern Coastal Basin. Disturbance for this dataset is characterized as ditching in some manner within any given marsh or as deposited fill in the wetland. Disturbed marsh polygons were digitized on screen at a scale of 1:2400 using 2006 , 1 foot CIR imagery for areas of St. Johns County and Volusia County, and 2004 1 meter DOQQ's for parts of Volusia and Flagler County. Disturbed marsh polygons do not represent area of potential hydrologic impact due to on-site ditches. Polygons were drawn around an entire marsh when the marsh was small and in large marsh areas, polygons were drawn primarily around the ditches within the wetland. Spoil areas were identified by comparing historic 1940s aerial imagery to contemporary aerial imagery to detect deposition.
