Service Description: The geodatabase is primarily used by the groundwater modeling and regulatory staff of the SJRWMD. It serves as input to predictive models used in characterization of the effects of water use on other permitted users and on natural systems. The originating WUP_Stations geodatabase represents withdrawal stations permitted by regulatory agencies within the SJRWMD groundwater modeling domains. These data are compiled from data provided by various cooperating agencies and represent current permit conditions. Data are updated periodically at intermittent intervals. Processing is done on the St. Johns River WMD stations in the CUP stations layer to attribute with Production data, as well as to generate an EN50 (Water Use) table and denormalized Water Use Allocation tables with allocations and historic water use to be used with this GIS layer. One EN50 table is generated (tbl_wup_q). Two Water Use Allocation tables are generated: one for the Water Use Planning group (wtr_use_alloc_wupr_dnormlzd) and the other for the groundwater group (wtr_use_alloc_gwp_dnormlzd). This layer and associated tables are updated nightly from a script.

Description:

The originiating WUP_Stations geodatabase is a compilation of permitted water use withdrawal stations throughout parts of Florida and Georgia developed by SJRWMD staff. This service presents the SJRWMD stations. This is part of the Water Use Permit (WUP) project led by Tammy Bader and former staff.

Note: Permit Type FW used to indicate artesian wells with the potential to flow at land surface. These wells may have had or may currently have flow control devices. Most of these wells were identified through a groundwater modeling data consolidation effort performed in 2006.
