Description: Locations for boarding or alighting the Houston METRO bus system. This data is used for map display, query and analysis in Geographic Information System (GIS) software. This data is also imported into, and used in Trapeze FX, a bus scheduling software. From there, the bus stop locations are used for on-board stop announcements, ridership counts by stop, METRO and Google Trip Planners, and the METRO Customer Information Center.METRO's New Bus Network, implemeted in August 2015, transforms the local bus network of routes and stops from one that is mostly raidial to a more grid-like configuration region-wide. Local routes are simpler and straigher and are more frequent where needed. Bus routes are generally shorter and less complicated for improved reliability. METRO Park & Ride service remains unchanged except that route 274 was replaced with the peak hour express route 151.
