Oregon’s 17 community colleges provide institutional career and technical education opportunities. Community college service districts are created by locally organized elections (ORS 341.025-185) and managed by a locally elected board. The Higher Education Coordinating Commission (HECC) coordinates funding and policy for Oregon’s community colleges.

This layer of community college districts has two different types of service provision displayed. Some areas are directly part of a community college district, others receive services indirectly by contract with an existing community college district, called contract out of district (COD).

The community college districts in this layer are approximated based on a variety of sources and should not be taken as official boundaries. Authoritative information on which addresses or tax parcels are in a community college district is available through local county tax assessor’s offices.
