Description: Forestland Classification determines which lands within the District boundary are protected by the Oregon Department of Forestry. Classified forestlands are assessed for fire protection through their annual property tax statement to support that service.Once lands have been determined to meet the definition of forestland, they are further classified as lands primarily suitable for timber production, grazing use, or a combination of the two.
