This dataset depicts the geographic response plan (GRP) sectors associated with oil spill response strategies for the Oregon Coast, Mckenzie River, Deschutes River, and the Columbia River (includes both Oregon and Washington sides of the river). Multiple sectors make up a geographic response plan area. The data was compiled from published geographic response plans created from the early 1990s through 2018. Includes both booming and notification strategies for the Oregon Coast, the Oregon and Washington sides of the Columbia River, the lower Willamette River, the lower Clackamas River, the Deschutes River, and the McKenzie River. These GRPs were created by members of the Northwest Area Committee (NWAC) using NWAC guidelines and processes except as follows: Upper Deschutes GRP (created by Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway); Lower Clackamas GRP (Clackamas River Water Providers); McKenzie GRP (Eugene Water and Electric Board).
