Description: The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality has a dissolved oxygen standard (OAR 340 041 0016(1)) that includes protections for active spawning areas where resident trout spawning occurs. As part of the Aquatic Life Use updates of 2023, DEQ designated resident trout spawning habitat where reliable information was available and committed to maintaining an inventory to incorporate new data as it becomes available. The inventory is a guide to waters where spawning dissolved oxygen criteria should be applied for protection of the resident trout spawning use.
