Description: This is the ODF State Forests Management Districts feature service. It is a hosted service, offline available, not editable. It was originally created for the FMP and HCP WebMaps, Applications, and Dashboards, regarding the public engagement process. This feature has been cleaned up to include the correct District names and boundaries as of 11/19/2019.

These are SF District Boundaries, and within them are portions of land that are managed by Oregon Department of Forestry, along with many other land managers, both public and private. To see specific land managers or ODF managed lands use a different feature that has land managers broken out.

Forests owned by the Oregon Board of Forestry are sustainably managed to provide environmental, social and economic benefits to all Oregonians. By law, the majority of revenue generated from state forests must be distributed to counties and schools and used to provide public services. State Forest Management Plans establish the goals and direction to manage state forests.

ODF manages approximately 745,000 acres of forestlands across Oregon. These state forestlands are actively managed under forest management plans to provide economic, environmental, and social benefits to Oregonians. Timber sales on these forests produce jobs and revenue that funds counties, local districts, and schools throughout the state. These forests also offer recreation and educational opportunities, and provide essential wildlife habitat and clean water.

Most state forest lands covered under the 2019 Draft Forest Management Plan (approximately 613,000 acres) are in 14 counties across western Oregon. The three largest blocks are the Tillamook, Clatsop, and Santiam State Forests. Smaller tracts are scattered throughout the planning area.
