Description: These data layers are for the purpose of viewing data collected and produced by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) for the major New England winter storm events, known as "Nor'Easters", that took place during January 4, and March 2–4, 2018. Under an interagency agreement with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the USGS New England Water Science Center collected high-water marks and continuous water-level sensor data using the North American Vertical Datum of 1988 (NAVD 88). These data layers are used in the January and March 2018 Major Winter Storm Events in New England operations dashboard.
