USGS_Remote_Sensing_Flow_Sites (FeatureServer)

View In:   Map Viewer

Service Description: This web feature service provides computed remotely-sensed streamflows (RSQ) on selected river reaches. Remotely sensed streamflows have been computed using a relation between water-surface elevation data derived from satellite altimetry and dynamic surface water extent data derived from LANDSAT and Sentinel imagery data with the Modified Optimized Manning Method Algorithm (MOMMA). The RSQ_SITES point feature service provide location data and the most current observed water surface conditions computed from remote sensing data. The point feature service also provides attached ZIP files containing data used to develop the relation to compute river discharge. The RSQ_SITE_DATA is a feature service table that provides an archive record of computed remote sensing discharge for all RSQ sites.
