Description: This feature class contains Calgary Transit routes as lines. The data source is the General Transit Feed Specification (GTFS) available on the City of Calgary Open Data which is released by Calgary Transit Service Design on at least a quarterly basis. Calgary Transit Data is the data steward for this feature class.This feature class contains the following fields:ROUTE_SHORT_NAME – The number identifying the route, i.e. its short nameROUTE_LONG_NAME – The full name of the routeROUTE_CATEGORY – The category of the route. “LRT” refers to light rail transit, i.e. the CTrain. “BRT” refers to bus rapid transit, i.e. routes designed to transport passengers over long distances quickly, with few stops. “SCHOOL” refers to routes designed to serve students attending school. “REGULAR” refers to typical Calgary Transit bus routes. “SPECIAL” refers to routes providing specialized service that do not fall into the previous categories.
