Description: The shallow groundwater layers represent the shallow, unconfined groundwater surface during a wet winter condition. This series of layers consider the existing conditions during a wet winter and the future response to ten sea level rise scenarios. The geodatabase contains three types of layers. County_GW_DTW_SLR_XX: This is the depth to the shallow groundwater layer (Depth to Water) in a wet winter in raster format. The number at the end of the layer name is the sea-level rise scenario in inches. The raster units are in feet. Values of -1 represent water above ground, not the height or depth of water above ground. Positive values represent depth to groundwater below the ground surface. For example: a raster value of 4 is 4 feet below the ground surface while a value of -1 represents emergent groundwater during a wet winter. County_GW_DTW_SLR_XX_emergent: Polygon layer showing the extent of emergent groundwater under a given sea-level rise scenario. The number at the end of the layer name is the sea-level rise scenario in inches. County_GW_DTW_SLR_XX_6ft: Polygon layer showing groundwater within six feet of the ground surface under a given sea-level rise scenario. The number at the end of the layer name is the sea-level rise scenario in inches.
