Description:

The State Commercial Tax Credit Program layer displays census tracts in New York State and indicates whether each tract qualifies for the New York State Historic Preservation Tax Credit Program for Income-Producing Properties.

Note: A property within a qualifying tract must meet other criteria to qualify for the state commercial tax credit program. The federal commercial tax credit program is available statewide, even in tracts that do not qualify for the state program.

If you have questions about the qualifying status of a property or census tract, please contact the Commercial Rehabilitation Tax Credit Part 1 reviewer for your county.

This layer is updated annually on April 1. If a tract changes from qualifying to not qualifying, it will qualify for an additional two years.

The Homeowner Tax Credit Program layer displays census tracts in New York State and indicates whether each tract qualifies for the New York State Historic Homeownership Rehabilitation Credit program.

If a city qualifies for the homeowner tax credit program under enhanced criteria, any areas within the city boundary qualify for the homeowner tax credit program.

Note: A property within a qualifying tract or city must meet other criteria to qualify for the homeowner tax credit program. There is no federal equivalent to this program.

If you have questions about the qualifying status of a property, census tract, or city, please contact the Survey & National Register Unit reviewer for your county.

This layer is updated annually on April 1. If a tract or city changes from qualifying to not qualifying, it will qualify for an additional two years.
