Description: Objective: Purpose of mapping was to show where fence for accessibility. Can hop fence if needed but can also go around.Equipment: Emlid RS2 Multi GNSS ReceiverBackcountry ski gearMapping Techniques: Offsets were used for mapping. Fence resided in mostly brush and was difficult to navigate with GPS and ski boots. Used phone compass to determine azimuth. Average points were also used to measure portion of fence in order to draw straight line, as opposed to streaming.Base Station: N/AEditing: Fence moved using offset measurements. Topology rules enforced to ensure fence connected.Estimated Accuracy: 0.301 mSpatial Reference Information: Coordinate System: WGS 1984Datum: D WGS 1984Projection: 1984 Web Mercator (auxiliary sphere)Fields: HEIGHT: height in meters. Text data type.

Description: Objective: Descents/trails are vital to know in order to ski the terrain. Necessary to the project. Equipment: Emlid Rs2 Multi GNSS ReceiverMapping Techniques: Stop and go. Record the start of the line at the top of the run and draw the line at the bottom if the trail was straight. Otherwise, ski the run and drop points on a consistent basis. Base Station: N/AEditing: Topology rules enforced to connect lines. Description: Objective: Show boundary of ski area. One can ski out of bounds, but boundary is how far you can ski and still make it to the base.Equipment: Emlid RS2 Multi GNSS ReceiverBackcountry ski gearMapping Techniques: Streaming used while skinning along fire road ascent. Then a stop and go 1 second average method was used while skiing down to not capture turns and more accurately display boundary. Defined by tree line and fire road.Base Station: N/AEditing: Topology rules used to ensure descents and ascents do not cross over boundary.Estimated Accuracy: 0.241 mSpatial Reference Information: Coordinate System: WGS 1984Datum: D WGS 1984Projection: WGS 1984 Web Mercator (auxiliary sphere)Fields: N/A
