The information in this layer is derived from the Plan and Profile Engineering Drawings that come from the following sources: Block Map, As-Built, Field Verified with Control Number, Taps and Meters, Metro, Field Verified Fire Department, Field Verified Fire Line, Construction Drawing (Layer), Fire Department, and Capital Improvement Project.

The GIS Services Group of Houston Water, Houston Public Works currently stores and maintains the dataset in a Relational Database Management System.
