Description: A group effort wherein each of the four members of the group ran an uncclassified supervision of our assigned landsat image in ERDAS. The classification was checked added to ArcMap where each area identified as mountaintop removal was made into a polygon feature from which the area of the polygon was found.
An accuracy of the classification was found to be 91.75% after checking 120 points across the group study area. Accuracy was reduced in areas from cloud cover
The acreage affected by mountaintop removal was found to be 267306.28 acres.
